Our absolute favorite chicken salad at Costco is the Cape Cod Chicken Salad with cranberries and pecans. This stuff is delicious and my family loves finding new ways of serving up this 2.5 pound tub of awesomeness.
The only downside with the Cape Cod chicken salad is that it doesn’t freeze well and you only have about 5-7 days to eat it all before it goes bad. This means we binge eat the contents of the tub and are pretty tired of it once we finish the container.
The chicken salad, Item Number 540123, is located in the refrigerated coolers near the deli in the Costco warehouse.

This chicken salad does NOT contain any onions which is a big deal for me! The regular Costco Chicken Salad in the deli case is loaded with onions and I am just not a fan.
Flavor
The main thing to know about the chicken salad is that it is quite sweet. The dressing is made with honey and sugar which creates a sweet profile that consumers either love or hate. If you are not a fan of sweet chicken salad then you will want to stick with the prepared traditional Costco chicken salad in the deli case.
There is a nice textural contrast between the tender white meat chicken and the crunch of the celery and pecans. You can really tell that this is a packaged product though as pecans and celery are more tender/soggy than you would find in a homemade salad.
The cranberries are plentiful and provide a distinctive flavor profile.
The chicken salad is great for sandwiches, dipping or using for lettuce wraps.
My absolute favorite way to enjoy the product is spread across a toasted English muffin. It is so freaking good!!!
